Enhanced Career and Education Fair (ECEF)

The Enhanced Career and Education Fair (ECEF) is organised quarterly by MINDEF/SAF and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to facilitate the transition of full-time National Servicemen (NSFs) entering the workforce or pursuing further studies after completing full-time NS. The ECEF will feature both employers and educational institutes offering employment and education opportunities respectively. All NSFs in their last six months of service are invited to attend the ECEF.

At the fair, NSFs will get to attend one of the talk/sharing sessions before proceeding to Career & Education Exhibitions booths.  Speakers from different industries and the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) will provide insights on the current job market climate and trends as well as the skills sought after by employers. Thereafter, NSFs can interact with over 50 employers and representatives from educational institutes at the exhibition hall.

Prior to the fair, NSFs who intend to join the workforce after they ORD can apply to attend a Career Skill Workshop conducted by WDA’s career counsellors. During the 1-day workshop, participants will learn how to prepare their resume and develop good interview skills. This will increase their chances of landing a job interview and standing out from other job applicants during job interviews.

The next ECEF will be held on 15 Aug 2017 at Lifelong Learning Institute (next to Paya Lebar MRT) from 9am to 6pm.
