You need to participate in RT in your current IPPT Window if you have any of the following statuses by the end of your previous IPPT Window:
- Did not attempt your IPPT
- Failed your IPPT (for those who did not opt for IPPT Preparatory Training (IPT))
- Did not complete your IPT
You need to complete [20 – D] sessions of RT with at least 1 IPPT attempt in your current IPPT Window – D is the total number of IPPT and IPT sessions you took in your previous IPPT Window.
You took and failed your IPPT, and opted for IPT. You participated in 4 IPT sessions but were unable to complete the rest by the end of your IPPT Window. As a result, you have to do RT in your next IPPT Window.
The number of RT sessions you have to do:
= 20 - D
= 20 - [the total number IPPT and IPT sessions you took in your previous IPPT Window]
= 20 - [1 IPPT + 4 IPT sessions]
= 20 - 5
In the event that D is more than 20, it will be capped at 20. You will not have to take RT but must attempt at least 1 IPPT (i.e. Non-ICT IPPT or ICT IPPT) in your IPPT Window.
IPPT is also conducted on the 8th, 14th and 20th RT sessions (also known as RT IPPT). But if there are less than 8 RT sessions, RT IPPT will be held on the last session.
Tip: If you would like to take your RT or IPPT before the scheduled IPPT session, e.g. your 8th session, please approach the Officer-in-Charge at the Fitness Conditioning Centre (FCC) during your RT for advice.
You can fulfil your RT requirements earlier by passing an ICT IPPT or your RT IPPT.
You can earn incentive awards if your RT IPPT score meets the requirements of the different award types.
