Employers join in the RSAF50 celebrations

“It is great to know that our NSmen support the operations of these aircraft. We must thank them for protecting our skies!” – an employer remarked during a visit to the RSAF50 exhibition.

On a bright, sunny morning on 8 Feb 2018 at the Changi Exhibition Centre, 59 employers were treated to a spectacular aerial display showcasing the speed and power of the F-15SG, as well as the agility and precision of the F-16s in breath-taking manoeuvres.

In conjunction with the Singapore Airshow 2018 (SA18) and RSAF50 celebrations, about 60 employers visited the RSAF50 exhibition. They were hosted by RSAF and National Service Directorate (NSD).  During the visit, employers viewed a static display featuring RSAF aircraft and weapons system as well as exciting exhibits at the RSAF50 Pavilion. The exhibits included a mock-up runway with aircraft and weapon system simulators for a hands-on experience. 

Mr William Koong, Senior General Manager of Nissin Transport (S) Pte Ltd, said the “proficiency and competencies of the RSAF are top notch”.  He commended the RSAF’s Regulars and NSmen for their commitment and contributions towards the RSAF’s achievements over the last 50 years.  Mr Koong also said it was important for his company to do its part by pledging support for National Service (NS), which is the bedrock of Singapore’s defence, through the NS Mark Accreditation Scheme.
